1.  Because they have cute assets  
2.  So they will buy you a liquid asset  
3.  It boosts their intangible assets  
4.  It's a nice show of depreciation  
5.  They need the credits  
6.  It's a marital distraction  
7.  Because, technically a hug is a charitable deduction  
8.  Some folks can just check your boxes  
9.  Accountants are people too, no exemptions  
10.  So they won't think you are withholding on them
