Important Change Affecting Abra Suite Customers

As you may know, your Sage Abra Suite software runs on Visual FoxPro – a database that’s owned and supported by Microsoft. While investment and enhancements to Visual FoxPro stopped years ago, Microsoft recently announced that they will discontinue support for the database in 2015.

What This Change Means to You

With thousands of customers currently using Abra Suite, Sage has offered to continue supporting FoxPro beyond 2015.  However due to ongoing hardware and operating system changes, there is a strong possibility that Abra Suite will not continue to work properly on newer workstations and servers.  At this time, it’s hard to determine how long Abra Suite will continue to be “viable.”
